Theme Mindmap

Our project is based on the theme “Provide easy access to learning in-demand skills”. The mindmap, shared below, helps understand the factors that inspired us to come up with our application.

In this mindmap, we analyzed why online courses are more effective than those at school and why they are popular. We focused on the contribution of online courses websites in the achievement of in-demand skills. We found that it can be difficult to find appropriate courses given the multiplicity of online course providers. As a solution, we wanted to create a service that facilitates e-learning course navigation.

For everyone.

By everyone.

Project Draft

After completing our mindmap, we made a detailed review report on our idea. We determined our target users and our competitors. We also wrote an article on the content and usage of our application. Thanks to this report, we had a clear idea about our project.

Keep learning.

All for free.

Project's Wireframes

When we finished defining our project, we started to create the wireframe of our application which is a way to design a service at the structural level. This wireframe was our visual guide. It is the design basis of the mockup we finally developped.

Beyond the limits.

Surpass yourself.

Mockups & Conducted Tests

We have all already looked for courses online, and noticed it required very meticulous research. While searching, we run the risk of getting lost and not finding adapted course for us. We can have langauge, level or support issues. That is why we created an application that takes into account these risks.

Our service gathers all the online courses proposed by MOOC providers on a single platform. For this reason, our application should be understandable and easy to use. It aims to save time by logging in, instead of navigating from site to site. It also aims to help find the perfect course for users, as they are asked for their location and language.

Regarding the test, we chose 4 test takers among universities, as our application is mostly used by students. We asked them to find a course they are interested in. Then they had to share their opinion about the content, intelligibility, functionality and design of the application. They gave us mostly positive feedbacks: they found our application interesting, understandable and rich in content.
